Alaska has thousands of fantastic attractions to visit on your vacation. Maybe you have lived here for some time and did not know that you have such a wide variety of places to go to on a regular basis. Some of these places are free to the public and the rest have a small fee. Get out and enjoy life, don't sit at home and say I wish I had something to do. Check out the information we have on each of these attractions along with pictures of them. This will help you decide which attractions you want to visit when you are in the area. Traveling in Alaska is like traveling no other place on earth. There are 586,000 square miles here, and almost that many possibilities. Choose from wildlife viewing, sea kayaking and guided glacier hikes. Relax aboard a one-day cruise, pan for gold, bait a rod for Alaska’s world famous King salmon fishing. Alaska visitors can experience the state’s unique Native culture through many avenues including totem carving, Native dancing, the blanket toss, traditional music, crafts and festivals as well as cultural and historical museums, heritage centers and academics. Whether you want to explore Alaska’s vibrant Native culture or other artistic and intellectual attractions like music festivals, local artisan handiwork, Russian iconography or museum exhibits, a long list of things to do and see awaits you. |
