Ernie's Museum of Black Arkansans and Performing Arts
By appointment only, February through September
Ernie's Museum of Black Arkansans and Performing Arts, founded in 1993, is a privately funded non-profit institution. It is the state's first black history museum dedicated to preserving the culture and heritage of African-Americans in Arkansas. The changing Who's Who in Arkansas' Black History exhibit rotates each year in February. EMOBA is also home for Arkansas' scariest haunted attraction, the Haunted Cathedral, which opens each year in October. The campus is visible from I-630 and is located in the historic Quapaw District.
