Museum Hours: The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9am-4pm
Guided Tours: Tuesday-Friday at 10am only and Saturday at 10am and 1pm

The Maidu Indian and Nature Learning Museum is associated with and interprets the Maidu Historic Site, where a Maidu village once resided. This Historic Site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, exemplifying the value and importance of this site. The Museum is filled with ancient artifacts and reproductions including baskets, stone tools, regalia and much more. Take a walk outside on the 5/8 mile loop trail through the Historic Site to explore the ancient petroglyphs (rock art), hundreds of bedrock mortars (acorn grinding holes), year–round stream, seasonal wetlands, oak and riparian woodlands- home to many animals.

In addition, the Maidu Interpretive Center offers classes, programs, exhibits. The Maidu Interpretive Center also offers campfire area and museum rentals available for birthday parties, events and meetings.
