USS Pampanito Submarine
Pier 45 Fisherman's Wharf
San Francisco, California 94133
Voice: 415-775-1943

The USS Pampanito Submarine was used in World War II. She had a brave crew and dove a whopping 697 times. She was used in the Pacific Ocean as a Hunter Killer. The crew was sent out on 6 missions and sent 6 ships to the bottom and damaged 4 others.

This small submarine is tight to walk through and it is hard to imagine living on it hundreds of feet below the surface of the ocean. The brave men slept in very close quarters. They ate and drank in even tighter ones.

Today we honor them by visiting these great ships of war. When you are in this extremely well kept vessel give a thank you to all of her brave crew. Without them this country would not be what it is today.
