San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf
Fisherman's Wharf has a long standing history of being a fishing port for the San Francisco Bay. Today the descendants still fish the bay for Dungeness crab as well as other Seafood to be sold at the wharf.
Time has past and no longer will you hear the songs that the long past fisherman sang as they went about their jobs collecting the oceans bounty. It was a way of life for these colorful men of the sea.
Today the San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf is a famous tourist destination. When you are in San Francisco you must take the time to visit this unique and historical place. If you don't you will regret it until your next trip to San Francisco.
It is best to take a cable car and drop off at one end and walk all the way until you have seen all of the water front. The water front has many attractions and you will want to check out the shopping as well.
