Location of Artillery Ridge Camping Resort Artillery Ridge Camping Resort Artillery Ridge Camping Resort and National Riding Stables is located just one mile from the Gettysburg National Military Park Visitor's Center. This is in the heart of the battlefield and many of the area museums. The campground has many great amenities to make your stay here a fun one. They are the only campground in the area to offer camp spaces with stables and corrals so you can camp with your horse. They also have fenced in riding areas you can use. Many people like to tour the battlefields on horseback and Artillery Ridge is a great place to be able to bring your own horse. You can also take a Battlefield Tour on one of their horses at the National Riding Stables. Other amenities include a nice swimming pool and a catch and release fishing pond with paddle boats. For more recreation there is a game room, basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes. There is also a children's playground. During the summer a movie is played nightly in the pavilion. The campground has a variety of options for your campsite. Primitive tent sites, camper/RV hookups with water and electric or water, electric and sewer, and cabin rentals are ready for you. For those bringing a horse, camp spaces have extra space to allow for your horse trailer. There are covered stalls, open stalls, and separate horse corrals. Come to Artillery Ridge for a great place to camp in Gettysburg. |
