Location of Gettysburg KOA Gettysburg KOA Gettysburg KOA offers camping on a variety of levels in a nice wooded area just minuts from downtown Gettysburg and the Gettysburg National Military Park. The campground has many amenities to make your stay a fun one. You can choose the type of site you prefer. There are tent sites for those who like to "rough it". There are three types of hook-up sites for RV's and trailers: water and electric; water, electric and sewer; and deluxe sites with water, electric and sewer and also a nice fire pit, upgraded picnic table, and wooden swing for two. There are also three sizes of cabin rentals: Kamping Kabins, Kamping Kottages, and Kamping Lodges. There are many activities to enjoy on your stay here. There is a heated swimming pool, game room, giant outdoor chess set, children's playground, horseshoes, shuffleboard, miniature golf, and fun bike rentals. Sit on the porch to read the paper or play a game on the oversized checkers table. They also have amenities for your convenience like complimentary coffee each morning, a laundry room, ice and firewood for sale, a gift and souvenir shop and a camp store, hot showers and restrooms, plus they sell propane. Battlefield Bus Tours leave from the campground twice daily. You can choose from several tour packages that begin with the basic of just the battlefield tour and others that include museums and attractions in town along with your battlefield tour. There is also a shuttle to and from town available daily. For those who want to tour the battlefield at their own pace in their own vehicle, you can enhance the tour with one of their tour tapes or CD. These are for rent or purchase. Be sure to pick up the free maps of Historic Downtown Gettysburg, the Adams County Scenic Valley, and the Historic Conewago driving tours. After a long day of exploring all there is in this area, you may just want to relax and not think about cooking or dressing up to go out to dinner. That's when you send your order into the office and they will deliver your dinner of pizza, salad, sub sandwiches, or pasta dinners. Place your order by 5:30 pm and it will be delivered between 6:30-7:00 pm. You just sit back and relax and have your dinner delivered right to your site.
