The Olympic National Park's Hoh Rain Forest Campground is located 19 miles east from Highway 101 at the end of the road. It is open year-round and has in-the-trees camp sites. In the summer you can take in the evening naturalist programs offered at the visitor center. The Hoh is one of the very few rivers in the continental United States that remains virtually intact from its source high in the Olympic mountain range traveling 56 miles all the way into the Pacific Ocean. The upper watershed is pristine. Twenty-five miles of the river and its upper tributaries are protected within the Olympic national Park, flowing clear across gravel bars and under towering old growth forests. |
