Tombstone, perhaps the best known of the legendary towns from the old-west, is located about 20 miles south of Benson, or about an hour and a half from Tucson. The town's streets have been preserved much as they were during the days of Wyatt Earp. Stop by the Tombstone Courthouse State Park to learn more about the town's history. Western skits and gun-fights in the street are performed periodically, with daily re-creations of the Shootout at the O.K. Corral. Boothill graveyard is a great place to stop during your visit. Here, you can see the burial sites of some of Tombstone's most prominent residents. Pictures of Tombstone, Arizona were taken by Brian Franklin |
