Carmel is a wonderful quiet small town without the smog and noise from larger cities. This would be a great place to take your vacation or the honeymooners wanting something out of the normal. Carmel offers a good variety of shopping and restaurants but don't forget the fantastic beach. This is a great place to meet new people. If you would rather just lay back and enjoy the beautiful scenery you will find plenty of that too. Carmel was first named Carmelite by Spanish settlers, that arrived in the area in the turn of the century. Carmel has been a magnet for artist all over the world since about the 1900. Pictures of Carmel California were taken by Brian Franklin |
