The city of Oceanside was founded in the 1880's with the arrival of the railroad between San Bernardino and San Diego. Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base was established in 1942 and the town has prospered ever since. This beach resort has over 3 1/2 miles of coastline. Enjoy sport fishing, shops, restaurants, and pleasure boats.
