Helena, Montana's capitol city, is one of the state's prettiest and most diverse cities. At one point in the early 1900's, Helena had more millionaires per capita than anywhere in the United States. The city is full of historic buildings and wonderful architecture like the State Capitol Building, the original governor's mansion and St. Helena's Cathedral. To learn more about Helena's rich history, you can tour one of the museums like the Montana Historical Society Museum and the Museum of Gold, or take a ride on the Last Chance Tour Train. Once you've had your fill of history, get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Helena is completely surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and endless recreational opportunities of all kinds including fishing, hunting, whitewater rafting, swimming and camping. |
