Reno has been nicknamed "The Biggest Little City in the World." As Nevada's original gambling capital, Reno gained national attention during the 30'3 and 40's for its wide-open, freewheeling atmosphere. Day or night, Reno is brimming with fun activities. Many great events like the National Championship Air Races and the Great Reno Balloon Race take place here throughout the year. Great fishing can be found at Pyramid Lake or the Truckee River and skiing is offered at 15 world-class ski resorts nearby. Bowlers will want to check out the world famous National Bowling Stadium. The National Automobile Museum and the Wilbur D. May Museum are two more great stops. When the sun goes down, Reno comes alive. Casino lights illuminate the strip and world-class gaming, dining and entertainment can be found around every turn. |
