The city of Stanardsville is the county seat of Greene County. The entire county is made up of primarily farming and agriculture. Stanardsville has only about 300 people who reside in the town. Despite its small size, you can find great gourmet food and some terrific places to stay. Located on Route 33, it is the first area to find food, gas, and other amenities when leaving the Shenandoah National Park along this route.  You will enjoy a stop here when traveling in the area.
