You pass through Chinook when traveling along the Columbia River just before you reach the mouth peninsula of Washington's Pacific coastline. When passing through town, you can see some beautiful Craftsman and Victorian era homes. This is a tiny fishing village not far from the Fort Columbia State Park on the Lewis and Clark Trail.
You can also enjoy a visit to the state's first salmon hatchery, which is
located in Chinook.
