Jackson is a charming city set in the picturesque Jackson Hole, a 50 mile long valley in Northwest Montana that is bordered on the west by the beautiful Teton Mountains and is the birthplace of the Snake River. Jackson is a full service resort town with plenty of accommodations, restaurants and shopping. The National Elk Refuge, the National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Jackson National Fish Hatchery, the Jackson Hole Historical Society and the Jackson Hole Museum are many of the attractions that can be found throughout the town. Because of its location, Jackson offers all kinds of outdoor recreation including hiking, rafting, kayaking, fishing, mountain climbing, horseback riding, camping, hunting and skiing. Jackson is also very close to the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
