Located at the northeast end of the Bighorn Mountains in northern Wyoming, Sheridan is a city with a rich western heritage. Sheridan was established in 1873 and quickly became a center for ranching, mining and railroad activities. The town's history comes alive each year during the Sheridan-WYO Rodeo, one of the oldest rodeos in the country.

One of the bigger attractions in town is the Trail End Historic Site. Built in 1913 by former Wyoming Governor and U.S. Senator John B. Kendrick, the mansion now houses a museum. Other points of interest include the Bradford Brinton historic ranch house, the historic Sheridan Inn and Sheridan's business district, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
