Location of Jonathan Hale House Hale Farm and Village At the time of completion in 1827, this impressive structure was one of only two brick homes known to exist in the Cuyahoga Valley. Take a step inside to catch a glimpse of three generations of Hale family living and the complex restoration project that has been done to restore it to the 1880's floor plan. See 175-year-old bricks originally fired by Jonathan, historic hand sewn beams above, and original tongue and groove flooring underfoot. The exhibition inside the home details the evolution of the restoration, and the story of a family farm, from its humble origins to its development as a summer resort for city dwellers and friends in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. |
