The cabinetmaker was very skilled and made much of the beautiful furniture for the area. Historians have also found record of the cabinetmakers here advertising harpsichords, which is quite unusual for cabinetmakers of the time. Today, craftsmen make many of types of furniture from the 1700's and you can talk to them about the methods used. They are happy to answer all your questions and show you how they made this fine furniture. You are welcome to touch and open drawers! You can even try your hand on the harpsichord. You are encouraged to check everything out and ask questions.

KAT'S VIEW

The cabinetmaker, well, you can guess what they do. The cabinets had several drawers, drawers in drawers, and lots of little compartments. Some of them needed keys to open them. You could look inside the cabinets as well. Not like lots of places where they don't let you touch. It was fun to explore their shop.
