Location of Coffeehouse Archaeological Site Colonial Williamsburg The Coffeehouse Archaeological Site is still a work in progress. The building was identified by historians who have done extensive research as to what business were here in the early 1700's. They are still researching the area, looking for whatever artifacts they may be able to find. You can view the brick foundation that has been uncovered. See how Colonial Williamsburg has been researched and recreated by this type of archaeological work. Many of the buildings have been reproduced on the foundations that were uncovered just like this one. KAT'S VIEW The coffeehouse is just the foundation and has not been restored yet. It is basically ruins. They are still looking for things there. |
