The Holland Page House is located at: Route 601 The Fluvanna County Historical Society has recently
acquired the Holland Page House and property and is beginning restoration of the
house. They currently are open one day a month so you can see the progress
of their restorations. The house is Fluvanna's best preserved example of a
wattle and daub vernacular cabin from the post Civil War period. The
property includes the farmland, woods, and the site of the Pace Family gold
mine. This is historically the most productive gold mine in central
Virginia. The Society plans to use the property to tell the story of
everyday farm life from the period and the story of gold mining in Fluvanna.
When finished the house will be a great addition the the preservation and
education of this area.
