Location of Maggie's House Maggie's House Maggie's House is the oldest house in Palmyra. Most of the rest were burned in the fire of 1930. The central portion of the house was built in the 1840's. It was added to many times through the years. The house is owned by the Fluvanna County Historical Society. It is used to display some of the historical artifacts, mainly Native American artifacts, that the society owns. It also is used to house their archives, which contains many documents used for research, genealogy, and property/house research. They are open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons for those wishing to do research. |
