Location of Elwha River

Elwha River
Olympic National Park, Washington

One of the entry points into the Olympic National Park is the valley of the Elwha River in the north central portion of the park, south and east of Port Angeles. Starting from the headwaters near Mount Olympus to its outlet into the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the Elwha River Valley is about 40 miles long. Visitors can enjoy boating and fishing above the dam.

The Elwha River Valley entrance is located some eight miles west of Port Angeles on US Route 101.
