The St. Petersburg Museum of History offers a 'Walk Through Time Gallery' that features a chronology of St. Petersburg history. It has interactive exhibits from pre-historic times to today. These include a 1870 general store, a 1913 trolley car, a Tocobaga Indian canoe from the 1500's (found only one mile from the museum), and a 3500 year old mummy, just to name a few things. While in this gallery, you can also try on vintage clothing in the 'Try History On For Size Gallery'.

Check out the 'First Flight Gallery' that highlights St. Petersburg as the birthplace of commercial aviation. See a full size replica of the world's first commercial airliner. Enjoy the timeline of the airline industry throughout the world.

The 'Rotating Gallery' presents new and different exhibits showcasing history of St. Petersburg and Florida. At the time of our tour, the exhibit being showcased was 'Baseball: America's Pastime/St. Petersburg's Passion. There was a great amount of baseball memorabilia including baseballs from Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams, and Mickey Mantle to name a few.

Enjoy a visit to this museum to learn a lot of the areas history.
