Location of NASA Glenn Research Center NASA Glenn Research Center The NASA Glenn Research Center has a great visitor's center with exhibits showing many of the contributions to the space program that have come from this center. The men and women of the Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field have, since 1941, been the pioneers and innovators whose work has expanded horizons and opened frontiers for our explorers in air and space. You can learn about aeronautics, engineering, Mars, and space in the Visitor's Center. On your visit you will learn how researchers design innovations for tomorrows engines. You can see what it's like to be a pilot with the interactive aircraft cockpit. You will see a life size replica of the Mars Rover Sojourner and learn about Mars exploration. There is also an Apollo capsule and artifacts to show what it was like to go into space. Glenn Research Center is a secure government installation and requires inspection of your vehicle to enter. The tour of the Visitors Center is free and a must see for anyone interested in space and aeronautics. |
