Location of the Utah State Museum of Anthropology Utah State University Museum of Anthropology The Museum of Anthropology is located on the Utah State University campus, Logan, Utah, in the south turret of the historic Old Main building, room 252. The Museum is wheelchair accessible. The Museum of Anthropology is a teaching museum that is supported by the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology at Utah State University and the Mountain West Center for Regional Studies as well as private donors. It was founded in 1963 by Dr. Gordon Keller and has been growing ever since. We now have collections from around the world including a large collection of Native American basketry and tools, African sculpture and ceremonial pieces, Oceanic and Polynesian art, Peruvian ceramics, and Roman coins. In addition to our display we have soft beanbags and educational books and games for younger visitors.
