Located in Crump Park, the Meadow Farm Museum will transport you back to the 19th century and the home of Doctor John Sheppard. The farm had originally been acquired by William Sheppard in 1713.

Go back to 1860, just before the Civil war, where you can experience farm life. Live animals are in their pens and pastures. The garden is growing lots of vegetables. The buildings include the farmhouse, barn, doctor's office, blacksmith's forge, and smokehouse. Most weekends there are various demonstrations and activities going on. Join in and have a great time. Trips to the museum are free as are most of the weekend activities.

KAT'S VIEW

There were really cool chickens who had feathers that were striped. They looked so weird. They had sheep and there was wool everywhere. Plus they had pigs. The pigs were next to the garden so if you had vegetables that went bad you could just throw them over the fence. They had a visitor center with a collection of items that were interesting.
