In 1989, the P. Buckley Moss Museum opened in Waynesboro, VA, in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The museum has been built to resemble the larger houses built by early 19th century settlers. The museum has three floors to showcase the works of P. Buckley Moss, one of America's most recognized and most popular artists. The museum is open daily and admission is free.

Patricia Buckley married Jack Moss soon after graduating from New York's Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. In 1964, with five children and one on the way, Jack's work brought them to Waynesboro. It was here that Pat came to appreciate the quiet beauty of rural scenery and the deeply religious Amish and Mennonite "plain" people. She began to incorporate these elements into her art. In 1967, she had her first one person museum exhibition. It was a sell-out and she quickly won widespread recognition.

Today, Pat's distinctive style is well known throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. She is also well known for her work with children's charities. After finally being diagnosed as an adult with dyslexia, Pat has dedicated herself to children with learning differences. With the help of the P. Buckley Moss foundation for Children's Education and donations of her art, Pat has raised millions of dollars for children's charities.
