Location of the Tank Museum The Tank Museum The AAF Tank Museum was founded in 1981 as a 501 (c) 3 not for profit charitable organization, with a mission to educate, collect, restore, preserve, and display as varied a collection of military tank and cavalry artifacts as is possible, so that present and future generations will have a significant part of military history available for them to learn from and explore. The Tank Museum has the most extensive collection of International Tank & Cavalry artifacts in the world! These include 112 Tanks & Artillery pieces, 150 Machine Guns, Mortars, Flame Throwers, Recoilless Rifles, Rocket Launchers, over 60 small arms, 90 International Tank & Cavalry General's Uniforms, 32 International Children's Uniforms "Sand box Soldiers", 100's of Tank & Artillery Optical Instruments, over 300 Tank & A.F.V. toys exhibit, Elvis - His military years exhibit, 100's of pennants, banners, flags, pins, patches, medals, & presentation pieces. There is 1/3rd of a million square feet of over 15,000 International Tank & Cavalry artifacts dating from 1509 to present. |
