The fort is replica that interprets the settlement form about 1610 to 1614. There are several buildings to show how life was during this time. There is an armory that has displays of Armor and weaponry used in this time period. There are different homes where you can see the difference form those of wealth and influence such as the governor and cape merchant and those of the middling class. There is also the Anglican church, which would have been one of the most important buildings. Historical interpreters dressed in period clothing will tell of different people and the jobs they did. Learn about how the settlement started to prosper. These people will answer any questions you have and make you visit fun as well as educational.

KAT'S VIEW

The fort was cool. Outside of it was a place where they were making boats. You could help making one of them by banging a mallet against a metal piece in the wood to spilt it. The mallet was heavy! This is called riveing. Inside the fort there were several things like and armory, a church, a blacksmith, a place where they made soap, and all the good stuff. There was even a chicken coop with living chickens in it.
