Fort Walla Walla Museum is open April through October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. On Sundays, you can enjoy living history performances. Performances are also on Saturdays, June through August.

The museum shows the history of early living in the state of Washington. Exhibits show Lewis and Clark as they came through the area on their return home and their meeting with Yellept of the Walla Walla band.

See exhibits of early farming in the region. The museum has the largest collection of horse-era agricultural equipment in the region. Step into the wheat harvest of 1920 featuring a 33-mule-team hitched to a wooden combine surrounded by a mural of the harvest.

Check out the 19th century military and Indian cemetery. View the gravestone of the early fort. The gift shop has a plotting of the gravesite.

Wander through a pioneer settlement complete with schoolhouse, log homes, railroad depot, jail, doctors office and more.

This museum is a great stop for the family with all the history of the Northwest to be seen and explored.
