Climb aboard the Carrie B for a fun 2 1/2 hour cruise through the Norfolk harbor. A replica of a 19th century Mississippi Riverboat with a paddlewheel, you can ride topside on the open deck or below in climate controlled comfort.
The cruise goes between Norfolk and Portsmouth on the Elizabeth River while the captain entertains you with information about the many things you will see along the shores. Watch cruise ships, supertankers, and tugboats working in the harbor. The tour will take you to Norfolk Naval Base where you can see many of this country's great Naval ships. The captain is very knowledgeable and will tell you about the different ships you will see. This is one of America's largest Naval bases and there are plenty of ships to see.
The Carrie B also has refreshments you can enjoy on your cruise. They have a full bar and many snacks including popcorn, candy, and chips. You can also enjoy a hot dog if you're really hungry.

The Carrie B cruise was really nice. The lower deck was cool, the windows were very big. They had a big snack bar. The cruise took us out to the naval base. There were a lot of ships there. On the way we saw the BASF building where they make the stuff that goes into Pampers to make them more absorbent. Then there was a land mass created out of mud, in a few years it will be usable. The top deck was really nice and big. Big enough to fit a large crowd.
