McGrath State Park
Ventura, California
Approximately 5 miles south of Ventura off Hwy 101, is McGrath State Beach. This is one of the best bird watching places in California with more than 200,000 species of birds in the area. The Santa Clara River Estuary Natural Preserve is located down a nature trail from the park. There is two miles of beach to be enjoyed.
