Location of Little Round Top Gettysburg National Military Park At Little Round Top, quick action by Brig. Gen. Gouverneur K. Warren, Meade's chief engineer, alerted Union officers to the Confederate threat and brought Federal reinforcements to defend this position on the second day of the battle. The Union was then able to hold onto the position. The monuments here include a 'castle' you can climb up to view the battlefield below. You are able to see the Devil's Den where Confederate sharpshooters were firing upon the Union soldiers on Little Round Top. KAT'S VIEW This place had several memorials on it. One of them looked like a castle and you could go on top of it. Little Round Top was pretty cool. I liked it up there. It had a really pretty view, of course during the battle it would have been a gruesome sight. |
