Location of Mount Rainier National Park Mount Rainier National Park Mount Rainier, at 14,411 feet, is the tallest mountain in Washington State. Mount Rainier National Park can be reached by Highways 12 and 410 from the East side of the state and by Highways 12, 410 and 706 from the west. Miles and miles of hiking trails are available for hikers of all ages and ability levels. From these trails, you can view the awesome power of ancient glaciers and the beautiful scenery of the Cascade Mountains. Paradise Lodge on the south side of the mountain and Sunrise lodge on the northeast side of the mountain are the two starting points for your exploration of this majestic mountain. Each offers a great visitor center where you can learn about the mountain and its history. |
