Location of Virginia Beach Fishing Pier 1506 Atlantic Avenue The Virginia Beach Fishing Pier was built in 1950 by Elkan Lachman. It has been run by the Lachman family ever since. Today Elkan's grandson, Bob Lachman, runs the pier. The pier extends out into the Atlantic Ocean where there are many types of fish for you to catch. Feel the slight sway of the ocean as you walk along this wooden pier. Very popular among the fishermen here, there is plenty of room along this pier. There is also a place for you to clean your catch. Enjoy the sight of the people playing on the beach and the surfers trying to catch a wave. Many times you can also spot dolphins out in the ocean. |
