Location of Lowry Park Zoo Lowry Park Zoo Lowry Park Zoo, located 5 1/2 miles North of Downtown Tampa on Sligh Avenue, features more than 1,500 animals and beautiful zoo-wide gardens. Each habitat at the Lowry Park Zoo is designed to be as close as possible to the animals' natural environment. Exhibits like the Native Florida Wildlife Center, the Asian Domain, Primate Word, Wallaroo Station, and Free Flight Aviaries allow you to get up close and personal with a wide variety of animals from all over the world. The Lowry Park Zoo also hosts several fun and entertaining fund raising events throughout the year including holiday celebrations for Halloween and Christmas. The Lowry Park Zoo is home to the Florida Manatee and Aquatic Center which includes a Manatee hospital that has treated more than 100 sick and injured Florida Manatees since 1991. |
