This is a truly beautiful cemetery. Flowers abound everywhere. It is a large cemetery that you may drive through.

Bonaventure Cemetery was the original setting of the 'Bird Girl' statue from the cover of 'The Garden of Good and Evil' novel. The famous statue has been moved to the Telfair Museum.

Driving through the cemetery you will see many of the graves of Georgia's historically important founders and governors. There are many beautifully carved gravestones and some have magnificent statues.

Of course for a really thrilling tour you may want to go on one of the nighttime 'Ghost Tours'. There are many legends and ghost stories from Savannah.

KAT'S VIEW

Bonaventure Cemetery was the coolest cemetery. There were tons of flowers and tons of graves. There was a statue of a six-year-old girl that is on brochures of ghost tours. Everything was so cool. There was this one grave of a baby that wasn't even a week old before it died.
