Kuhio Highway 56 - Kapa'a to Anahola
Highway 56 from Kapa'a to Anahola is located on the Island of Kauai. This is a very pretty stretch of highway. Although it is a two lane road there is not very much traffic. The highway will vary on the speed so make sure you watch for changing speed limits. Since the drive is so pretty you will find your eyes wondering off the road. Please note that on Kauai their are many animals that are on or next to the roadways. Some of the areas you will see horses tied up next to the road and could cause a hazard if they wonder. Kauai is also home to many cattle and they have been known to get out of their fences from time to time. Kauai's largest animal problem is from free roaming chickens. The first time you visit this quiet island you will be supprised to see just how many chickens roam the entire island.
