If you are planning a vacation on the Island of Maui and have no idea on where to stay, we highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa. There are many things that you and your entire family can do right at the resort. Each day they bring out several beautiful birds and allow you to get very close to them. As you walk through the resort they will talk and whistle to get your attention. They are very unique and make the resort that much brighter, but don't forget to check out the penguins. Yes, I said penguins. The resort has a small group of penguins and they will bring a smile to every child's face (as well as the adults).

If playing in the ocean is what you came for you are in luck. Just a few feet away is the amazing Pacific Ocean. The resort has a great rental shop right off the beach that will set you up with just about everything you will need to have fun in the surf. The beach is a wonderful place to sit back and watch the sun go down or to get a few rays of warm Maui sun. If you would rather play in the pool they have a fantastic pool with a deep end going up to 9 feet deep. This is very unusual for a resort to have such a deep pool, but it is a great place to play.

The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable while you rest up for your next day's fun filled activities. No matter what room you have you will have a beautiful view. The lush green mountains of Maui and the golf course line the interior and the beautiful Pacific the other. The small Cardinals will come and sing to you on your balcony and in some cases will come right on in your room to check you out. If you don't pose a threat to them you will soon be visited by their fellow feathered friends.

The resort is also just a few minutes by foot from Whalers Village where you can get a souvenir or something to eat if you chose not to eat at the resort. You are also very close to historical downtown Lahaina. If you rent a vehicle, you have to options for parking. Self parking or Valet parking. If you choose to self park you will have a walk both ways from the parking lot. We highly recommend paying the extra money to park and get the Valet parking. Each time you get ready to leave you simply call up the valet parking line and by the time you get down to the front they should have your car ready for you. Self parking will cost you $16.00 per day and the valet parking will cost you $20.00 per day. If you are like us after a long day of getting out the last thing you want is a long walk to get to your room.

If you are looking for a resort that you can go and have an all around great time you should put Hyatt Regency Maui at the top of the list. You and your entire family can have a great time just sitting and playing around the pool and ocean. They have amazing food and a fantastic luau and show that will bring a smile to everyone's face.
