Louisiana Swamp Festival
The Louisiana Swamp Festival is held each year the first weekend in November at the Audubon Zoo. The Swamp Fest offers some unique hand crafted items from crafters from the area, so you are sure to find a great souvenir to take home to share with your friends and loved ones. You just might find that special gift for the hard to buy for person on your list.
There will be plenty of Zydeco and Cajun music to listen to as you have fun walking through this great festival, but you don't have to just watch, you can get your feet moving and dance 'till you drop.
If you love that southern food or the hot and spicey Cajun food you are sure to find what you are looking for. Some of the food you will surely find are Cajun Jambalaya, gumbo, Fried Alligator, Crawfish, and Catfish Po-Boys to list a few.
