The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum features a unique collection of more than a thousand works that span the 70-year career of Detroit-based public sculptor Marshall M. Fredericks (1908-1998). He is known nationally and internationally for his impressive monumental figurative sculpture, public memorials, fountains, portraits and medals.

The museum and its adjacent Sculpture Garden comprise one of the most comprehensive collections  of any single artist's work in the world. The museum holdings include plaster models, cast and carved sculptures, medals, jewelry, miniatures, drawings, photographs, site models, molds, armatures, tools, pointing machines and archival materials.

The museum features a permanent exhibit of more than 200 of Fredericks' works, including plaster models, sketches, site models, bronzes, portraits and wall reliefs. The Artist's Studio features a collection of objects from Fredericks' former studios in Royal Oak and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The museum also offers two temporary exhibition galleries, archives, a classroom, a gift shop and a reception area. An outdoor sculpture garden features a growing collection of more than 20 of his bronzes on the beautifully landscaped campus of Saginaw Valley State University.
