Springfield National Cemetery has been a part of our great nation for well over a hundred and fifty years now. Unfortunately it was first use to bury soldiers that fought in the civil war. Over the years it has been use to honor our fallen soldiers and is a great tribute to our heroes. If you are planning a trip to the Springfield area you might want to stop in and thank them for their sacrifice and to remember our brave men and women that has served and still serving our nation today.
