Kalispell, located just north of Flathead Lake in northwest Montana, was established in 1891 at the site where founder Charles Conrad knew the railroad would build the main line junction. Halfway between two of Montana's most popular attractions at Flathead Lake and Glacier National Park, Kalispell is completely surrounded by recreational opportunities. The surrounding Flathead Valley has been named by Golf Digest as one of the 50 best golf destination in the world. There are nine beautiful and challenging public courses in the area including the Eagle Bend, Northern Pines and Buffalo Hill courses. Skiers will enjoy the slopes at Blacktail Mountain Ski Area and Big Mountain Ski and Summer Resort. With all of these and many other outdoor recreational opportunities, great accommodations, interesting old buildings and historic homes, 20 city parks and several museums, you will find it difficult to run out of things to do in Kalispell. |
