Montana Highway 212

Montana Highway 212
From Yellowstone National Park to Red Lodge

Montana Highway 212 from Yellowstone National Park to Red Lodge takes you through the Top of the World Pass, but that is not the end of your climb. You continue forever, almost to the sky it seems. When you finally get to the summit you are about 25 feet from the tallest point along the way. You then start the crazy decent to the other side of the pass. This road is nothing but switch backs. If you are in a large vehicle you must go slow or you will go over the edge. It is very dangerous for all vehicles, so be alert and go slow.
