Tingley Beach is open from sunrise to sunset every day of the year. Currently, the south Catch and Release Lake, the Central Lake and the Children's Pond are stocked and may be fished. The children's pond may be fished only by children ages 12 and younger. A New Mexico fishing license is required for ages 12 and older. The south pond may not be fished at this time. Only pole fishing is permitted. No float tubes, boats, rafts, canoes or other floating devices may be used at this facility.

Access to Tingley Beach is free. Public restrooms are located at the south end of the train station and are open from sunrise to sunset.
