North Dakota has some great old forts and battlefields that you can visit when you are on vacation or just passing through the state. If you live in North Dakota they are a good way to teach your children about our great nation's history. These lessons are no longer taught in our classrooms and if they are it seems that the history books have it all wrong. You can only really learn about our history by visiting these places and learning for yourself what really happened there.
