Oregon Interstate 84
Oregon Interstate 84 crosses the state in a east to west directions then turns north to south. It begins at Portland and heads east across the state. Interstate 84 travels next to many Oregon State Parks such as Lewis and Clark State Park, and Roaster Rock State Parks. Just west of Benson State Park, is a rest stop in the middle of the Interstate. This is a must see stop when you are traveling across the State of Oregon. You will get a great look at Multnomah Falls. This is one of the northwest prettiest waterfalls.
Interstate 84 continues east along the Columbia River and through Mount Hood National Forest. As you make your way across the state you will go by many other state parks that you can pull over and have a picnic or just sight see.
When you get to Hood River you will see some very pretty country and will have many chances to take some great pictures for your scrap book. If you like to check out dams then the Columbia River will give you many to stop and check out. If the Salmon are running you can watch them go up the latte and be counted.
When you reach Hermiston area you will make your turn south and begin your climb to the Idaho Boarder. But this part of Oregon is very pretty so you might want to take some time and pull over when it is possible and take some more pictures.
