The Pennsylvania Military Museum depicts the military history of Pennsylvania, emphasizing the 20th century roles of Pennsylvania based units and the men who have served in all branches of the Armed Services. The museum has recently been rebuilt and has a new exhibit that depicts the museum's superb vehicle and arms collections, using them to tell the story of the men who used them to defend our nation. View scenes of the soldiers life during war as you walk through the exhibit.

The museum grounds are home to the 28th Division Shrine, created by the 28th Division veterans of World War I to honor their service in France. An extension of this memorial is the World War II 28th Division Shrine dedicated to the men who gave their lives in the second World War. The grounds offer an attractive walking path and some larger artifacts as well as the memorials to Pennsylvania's military heritage.

KAT'S VIEW

There were three really cool things I found. First was an M3 Halftrack Personnel Carrier. There were machine guns on this. The second thing was a liberty field rolling kitchen, or basically a kitchen on wheels. The third thing was a General Motors K-16 Ambulance. It had tires that looked like they came off a bicycle. It also had a huge red cross on the side.
