Bechtel Victorian Mansion Inn Bed and Breakfast
The Bechtel Victorian Mansion Bed and Breakfast
Your hosts, Carol and Richard Carlson, invite you to a wonderful stay in this charming Victorian mansion. It was built in 1897 for the William Leas family who lived in the home for 85 years. The Carlson's are only the third owners of the home and have been restoring it to the splendor it originally had. The mansion has a large wrap around porch, a turret, and three small balconies.
The nine guest rooms each are decorated in Country Victorian charm and have air conditioning and private bathrooms. The Victorian Parlor Suite is the only guest room on the ground floor. It has a lovely parlor with a gas fireplace and television. The bedroom has a queen size bed.
On the second floor, there are five guest rooms. The Balcony Suite has a private balcony overlooking the Victorian gardens and a sitting room with a TV. It has a queen size bed with a beautiful ornate walnut headboard. The Master Bedroom is a large room with a queen size canopy bed. The Sara Leas Room has a romantic decor and cozy sitting area in the turret. Beulah's Boudoir is an elegant room with a king size bed. The Melvin Leas Room is a cozy room with a beautiful crystal chandelier.
The third floor has three guest rooms and a sitting room with comfortable furnishings and a television. The Gallery Guest Room has a queen bed and gallery style bathroom. The Turret Room has a queen sleigh bed and a private balcony. Skylar's Hideaway has a four piece bedroom suite with wood inlays.
Breakfast is served in the dining room where you can view the beautiful original etched glass windows. The full country breakfast begins with fresh fruit or fruit cobbler. Enjoy homemade breads or muffins and a hot specialty dish.
Late afternoon, join your hosts for tea and homemade sweets in the living room. Decorated with lovely Victorian furnishings it has a tiled fireplace and turret alcove. Throughout the house you will see original chandeliers and original woodwork. Carol and Richard have created a wonderful place to come to relax and leave your stress behind.
